Panasonic HC-X2 Camcorder Firmware 1.1

Changes:

- Recording in the MP4 file format is now supported with the function: Background recording, interval recording, super slow-motion recording, VFR(variable frame rate) recording, dual codec recording [X2 only]
- File formats compatible with dual codec recording have been added. [X2 only]
- Menu and user button functions regarding gain adjustment have been added.
- The AE Level Effect setting can now be reset to [0EV] when the power is turned off or when switching between shooting mode and playback mode.
- Focus assist function is now available at Auto Mode and while auto focusing.
- Face detection/tracking AE&AF function in manual mode is now available.
- One push auto iris function has been added.
- New functions can now be assigned to user buttons.
- Image stabilization at O.I.S. mode [NORMAL]/[STABLE] has been improved.
- Several minor bugs have been fixed.

Preparation of the SD Memory Card:

- 70 MB or more must be free on the SD Memory Card and use a SD Memory Card which has already been formatted for the HC-X1500 / X2000. Please refer your instruction book for mode details. (Use HC-X1500 / X2000 for formatting the SD Memory Card.)
- When formatting the SD Memory Card, all data, including protected data, will be erased and can not be recovered. Please make sure to back up your data so you don't lose it.
- Insert your formatted SD Memory Card to your SD slot on your PC.
- Copy the downloaded file onto the SD Memory Card.
- If your PC does not have an SD card slot, use an external USB SD Reader/Writer device.
- Copy the file into the Root directory (*1) of the SD Memory Card.
- (*1) Root directory = The first or top-most directory in the hierarchy.

Firmware Update Procedures:

- Insert SD Memory Card prepared above into SD slot1.
- Insert the AC adaptor and turn the power on.
- [MENU] - [OTHERS] - [INFOMATION] - [UPDATE]
- Confirm the version, and press [SET].
- When Access lamp (card 1) to flash, please wait for a while.
- After about 30 seconds, the product will automatically be restarted.
- When [Update is completed] message appears , Please press [OK].
- The firmware update is complete. Please remove the SD memory card.

Caution:

- If you swich off the power of digital video camera, or pull out SD Memory Card during firmware update, digital video camera maight bi damaged
- Please avoid such operations.
- This update file is only for Panasonic HC-X1500 / X2000. Please do not use to any other models.

About Camcorders Updates:
