The following functions and options will be available by activating the [Activate] menu in the camera.

- 6K(5952x3968) / 5.9K(5888x3312) / 5.4K(5376x3584) video recording mode in MOV format
- C4K(4096x2160) video recording mode in MOV format
- 4K(3840x2160) 10 bit video recording mode in MOV format
- Anamorphic(3328x2496) video recording mode in MOV format
- RAW video data output over HDMI
- [Time Code] function

Other added functions

- [Dual Native ISO Setting] function has been added.
- Users can choose to add or not to add camera orientation information in [Vertical Position Info (Video)] menu to prevent unintended image rotation in playback.
- [Power Save Mode] can be selectable while the camera is powered with an AC adaptor(DMW-AC10, sold separately).
- New functions and options to be available with the Upgrade Software Key DMW-SFU2.

Other improvements

- There were rare cases that the display such as AF frame blinks during video recording. This phenomenon has been solved.
- There were rare cases that operating the camera during photo/video playback caused a freeze depending on the operation timing. This phenomenon has been solved.
- There were cases that the specified AF position was shifted when using Pinpoint AF in full screen display. This phenomenon has been solved.

Firmware Update Procedures:

STEP 1. Check the current version of firmware used by your camera.
STEP 2. Download an updated version of the firmware and double click the downloaded file to decompress it.
STEP 3. Copy the firmware file onto an SD Memory Card.
STEP 4. Install the firmware update.

Caution:

- Please do not turn off your camera, or do not remove the SD Memory Card while updating your camera's firmware.
- Doing so can cause serious damage to your camera.
- If the camera malfunctions after the firmware updating, please contact the dealer where you purchased the camera or the Global Service Center Network.

Updating to a newer firmware version than the one already installed on your camera can improve the device's overall performance and stability, resolve various issues, and add support for newly developed features or enhance existing ones.
