Fixed Issues:

- For compliance with California state law, the default “password” must be changed after logging into the switch.
- To configure SNMPv3, Authentication Protocol must be configured as MD5 or SHA. The ‘none’ option for Authentication Protocol is no longer allowed. If you upgrade firmware to V6.3.1.33 from an older version, clear your temporary internet files or browser cache to see the new settings.
- Added a new option under “Security > Management Security > SCC Control” to disable or enable Smart Control Center (SCC). It is set to Disable by default. If you upgrade firmware to V6.3.1.33 from an older version from an older version, clear your temporary internet files or browser cache to see the new settings.  Note: The SCC Utility can still discover the switch even if the SCC option is disabled.

Notes:

- SNMP community with public or private community string is removed when you upgrade from a firmware version older than v6.3.1.33.
- Configuration cannot be migrated from older devices (GS716Tv2, GS724Tv3, GS748Tv4) to newer devices (GS716Tv3, GS724Tv4, GS748Tv5).
- The boot time for the newer devices (GS716Tv3, GS724Tv4, GS748Tv5) is about 40 seconds longer than for the older devices (GS716Tv2, GS724Tv3, GS748Tv4).
- During the boot process (about 2 minutes), all LEDs light for the GS716Tv3 and GS724Tv4.

Known issues:

- Warning messages pop up when the HTTPS admin status is enabled. Workaround]: Refresh the GUI screen.
- The cable test results sometimes show a much longer value. Workaround]: Redo the cable test on the same port.

About Switch Firmware:

Given the large variety of models and different methods for upgrading the switch, if you wish to apply this package, we recommend that you read and understand the installation steps before you install a new firmware, even if you are a power user.

Usually the update procedure isn't much of a hassle as manufacturers try to make it as simple as possible; however, there are cases that are exceptions to this rule. First off, go to the system information page of the switch to check that the currently installed version isn't either newer or matching this release.

Applying a new firmware can decrease the security vulnerabilities, enhance overall performance and compatibility, improve various power management functions, resolve different errors, and add support for newly developed technologies and protocols.

It is recommended that you perform this step in a steady power environment such as the one ensured by a UPS unit, and that you don't interrupt the upgrade in any way, because this might cause the switch to malfunction.

That being said, click the download button, get and apply the new version, and check back with our website constantly to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
