This windows console application can be used to check if a given disk supports Advanced Format (AF) feature. The application fails and returns an error if the disk number does not refer to an IDE disk. If the disk does suport AF feature (as per ATA8 specification), the tool can print the following: - number of logical sectors in a physical sector - size of each logical sector (512, 4K etc.) - partition alignment This tool is a console application and needs to be run from an "Elevated Command Prompt".
It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
