Intel Rapid Storage Technology is designed to provide functionality for the following Storage Controllers:
- Intel 8 Series/C220 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI/RAID Controller
- Intel 7 Series/C210 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI/RAID Controller
- Intel 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI/RAID Controller
- Intel 5 Series/3400 Series SATA AHCI/RAID Controller
- Intel X79 Express Chipset

The system must contain one of the Intel controllers listed above and one of the following processors:
- Intel vPro
- Intel Celeron
- Intel Pentium
- Intel Core i3, i5, or i7
- Intel Xeon processor family

This package contains the files for installing the Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver. If it has been installed, updating (overwrite-installing) may fix problems, add new functions, or expand functions. The program is language independent and can be used with any language system.
