This firmware update fixes a problem booting WinPE disc. The package applies to systems configured with the HLDS DH40N SATA DVD-ROM drive.
Important Note:
The system must be rebooted before the firmware upgrade will take effect. We recommend you close all applications and save your data prior to upgrading the firmware. Do not power-down or restart your system while the firmware upgrade is in progress.
It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
