- Agricultural Usage, for example: plant counting, crop detection, disease detection
- Inspection Usage, for example: cell towers, bridges, power lines, pipelines, railways

The application leads you through the steps to plan your flight and to preview and export flight data. You can set up your project in advance, before going out to the field. Intel Mission Control Software is intended to support the following Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV): Intel Falcon 8+ UAS.

Improvements and Fixes:

- More consistent project renaming – fixed a bug that in some cases prevented renaming
- Renewed demo datasets – Intel Mission Control Software comes with demo datasets available for download
- Demo missions plans – Intel Mission Control Software has several demo flight plans which can be opened in a project
- Removed dimension tab in advanced parameters for area flights – supports ease of usability
- A new selection for 1st waypoint of AoI – the new order takes into account if several AoI are combined
- Area filters – disabling the area filter in the dataset preview now also updates the coverage preview
- Added and edited inline help for additional items – provides useful information for many features, just click on the button next to a feature
- Fixed resolution difference warnings for combined 2D and 3D flight plans
- Fixed typos and inconsistent wording – e.g. use of “reference point” is consistent
- Pix4D export improved – the Pix4D export is now oriented correctly
- Added Sony A6000 payload support in IMC – now the Sony A6000 is selectable as a payload
- Single line flight pattern in corridor AoI – it is now possible to create a single flight line with a corridor mission by decreasing the overlap
- Fixed bug that façade length was stuck during editing – façade length is properly visualized
- Altitude of vertices now updated if the altitude reference point is changed
- Added new quick start guide – with a new layout and improved imagery
- Certain values were sometimes not saved correctly to the default values – now fixed

Known Issues:

- In rare cases, airspaces are not loaded/displayed correctly. Please make sure that you have all necessary permissions to conduct the flight safely.
- In the rare case elevation is displayed with initial elevation points only, appearing in blocks, please import a known elevation model

About Drone Firmware:

Applying a newer firmware version than the one already installed on your unit can bring various enhancements, include workarounds for diverse problems encountered by the device, and improve or add newly developed features.

On the other hand, downgrading the firmware version can recover the device’s functionality in the event of a software update either turning up faulty or causing the unit’s overall performance to drop. However, bear in mind that applying an older firmware isn’t recommended and might not always be possible.

When it comes to the update steps, due to the large variety of devices and numerous ways for installing a new firmware, it is recommended that you carefully read and understand the upgrade steps, and consider applying a different firmware only when you have familiarized yourself with the update method.

As the installation process is most of the times quite risky, this step should be taken by users that have the ability to successfully complete the update; regular users may initiate it at their own risk.

Therefore, if you consider applying this release, hit the download button, take into account all the aforementioned aspects, and update the device’s firmware. Also make sure you constantly check with our website to ensure that you don’t miss a single new release.
