HP TSST H653N DVD-RW Firmware HB02 Rev.A

This package contains a firmware upgrade for the supported HP Optical Drives in the supported desktop and workstation models and operating systems.

NOTE

: This package includes a utility that checks for the supported optical drive model before upgrading the firmware. If the supported optical drive model is not found, or if the firmware is already current, the firmware is not upgraded.

The following optical drive is supported:
- HP Model TS-H653N (HP Part Number 410125-501)

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
WARNING: DO NOT TURN OFF POWER OR ATTEMPT TO REBOOT THE COMPUTER DURING THE UPDATE PROCESS!

1. Download the file by clicking the "Download" or "Obtain Software" button and saving the file to a folder on your hard drive (make a note of the folder where the downloaded file is saved).

2. Double-click the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.

3. To upgrade the drive firmware please use the following steps:

For Microsoft Windows:

A. Go to the folder where the files were extracted in Step 2.
B. Change to the "Win Smart Flash" folder.
C. Double-click the "H653N_hb02.exe" file and follow the
on-screen instructions.

For DOS:

A. Go to the folder where the files were extracted in Step 2.
B. Change to the "Dos flashing" folder.
C. Run the "HB02.bat" file and follow the on-screen instructions.
