Microsoft has now made available the download link for the August 2018 firmware and drivers pack compatible with its Surface Book 2 device, which installs new driver versions that improve the overall system stability and security.

In addition to that, the current release also improves the docking compatibility, battery stability, keyboard backlight, and hibernation and system stability.

As for the updated components, Microsoft installs new versions of the GeForce GTX 1050/1060 and Intel UHD Graphics 620 display adapters, Serial IO host controllers, DPTF devices, camera, and firmware as highlighted in the Release Notes below.

When it comes to installation, you can do that either automatically via Windows Update service, but this means you have to wait for your Surface to receive the current update, or manually by downloading and applying Microsoft’s release.

Specifically speaking, you must save and run the downloadable file on your Surface unit, and follow all instructions displayed on-screen for a complete and successful installation; make sure the device is connected to a power source.

Moreover, after applying the update, it would be a good idea to reboot your tablet manually (if not requested automatically), to ensure that all changes take effect correctly.

With this in mind, download Microsoft Surface Book 2 Firmware August 2018, install it, and check our website as often as possible to stay “updated one minute ago.”
