NVIDIA has announced the availability of a new GeForce graphics driver, namely version 398.98 hotfix, which resolves the stutter issue for some configurations in Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Beta, and improves stability when running LA Noire VR.

Regarding compatibility, the present release is suitable for both desktop and notebook configurations, but only the ones running under a 64-bit variant of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, 8.1, or 10 operating system.

Bear in mind that trying to install NVIDIA’s 398.98 hotfix release on OSes other than the ones above isn’t recommended and might cause various malfunctions, even if it might seem to work.

Therefore, if you have encountered these issues, save the appropriate file for your computer’s operating system, run it, wait for all data required for the installation to be extracted, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete and successful upgrade.

Once finished, make sure to perform a system reboot to allow all changes to take effect properly. If this task isn’t requested automatically by the wizard, it would be a good idea to carry it out manually so that any possible problems are avoided.
