Today, Olympus has made available several new firmware packages targeted at some of its digital cameras, which make sure the autofocus (AF) function operates correctly when using the H-ES200 and H-ES50200 interchangeable lens produced by Panasonic.

To be clear about the targeted devices, the producer has provided firmware 1.4 for its E-PL6 and E-M10 units, 1.8 for the E-P5 camera, 2.3 aimed at the E-M5 model, as well as a 1.6 update suitable for the E-PM1, E-PM2, E-PL3, E-PL5, and E-P3 devices.

As for applying these updates, first of all, ensure that your currently installed firmware isn’t either newer or matching the present release. If all is OK, get the downloadable package (available for both Mac and Windows platforms).

Afterward, make sure your computer has access to the Internet, remove any memory card from the camera, run the saved file, and connect the imaging unit to your computer. Once attached, hit next, and wait for the updater to search for the new firmware.

When found, press “Update,” then select “OK,” agree with the upgrade process, and wait for the firmware to be transferred and applied to your imaging device.

Keep in mind that, when the installation is completed, Olympus’ camera will show an “OK” message on its display. At this point, you must click “Next” and “Close,” and afterward remove the USB from your unit.

That said, from the links below, follow the one that best describes your camera model, take into account all the aspects as mentioned above, and apply the new firmware to stay “updated one minute ago.”
