As of now, AMD gamers can download a new Radeon Graphics package targeted at several of its APU, CPU, and GPU models, namely version 18.9.1 (18.30.17.01 / 24.20.13017.1009), which implements support for Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Star Control: Origins titles.

In addition to that, the producer highlights that its current release also improves compatibility between Radeon FreeSync and Monster Hunter: World, fixes a few Radeon Settings-related issues, and makes sure the cursor or system doesn’t experience lag when a display is powered off on multi-monitor configurations.

According to AMD, this 18.9.1 update resolves AMD Link authentication failures with Android Pie devices, as well as Radeon ReLive recording instability on systems using Radeon R9 290 or Radeon R9 390 series graphics products.

However, the update might still encounter high memory clocks with Radeon RX Vega Series GPUs, specific installation issues on system configurations with 16+ CPU cores, and other problems as highlighted in the Release Notes below.

Regarding compatibility, there are four downloadable packages suitable for both desktops and notebooks running under one of Microsoft’s Windows 7 and 10 OSes, as well as a minimal setup utility that automatically downloads and installs the required files.

Therefore, to enjoy the benefits of this release, download AMD Radeon Adrenalin Edition Graphics Driver 18.9.1 on your computer, remove any previous version from your computer, run the package, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete update.

Last but not least, once finished, don’t forget to perform a reboot to allow all changes to take effect properly. If this is not requested automatically by the wizard, it would be a good idea to carry it out manually.
