Microsoft has made available the download links for its July 2020 cumulative firmware and drivers pack developed for its Surface Laptop and Laptop 2 devices, which is compatible with the producer’s Windows 10 May 2019 Update platforms.

Regarding changes, the update installs Surface Extension 1.3.139.0 that resolves Touch & Pen issues seen after Windows update on 1903 or higher, and Surface Extension 5.5.0.0 that improves Surface Dock 2 reliability during Wake On LAN scenarios and enhances the overall stability.

In addition to that, the producer also improves the Surface Dock 2 reliability thanks to the new 2.49.139.0 Surface Dock firmware update, as well as the 6.83.139.0 Surface Integration Service Device.

When it comes to applying this release, the task can be performed either automatically through Microsoft’s Windows Update service or manually by downloading and installing the update packages.

However, take into account that via the Windows Update service, every update is provided to customers in stages, which means that you might not receive it right now. Still, all Surface devices will get this update at some point.

On the other hand, if you don’t have the time to wait, you can always manually download and install the current update using the link below. Also, after applying the firmware, don’t forget to reboot your tablet to ensure all changes take effect correctly.
