Intel has announced the availability of the new graphics launch driver, namely version 26.20.100.7000, which promises to improve performance for DX11 games, Fortnite (and other Unreal Engine 4-based titles), and Metal Wolf Chaos XD.

Moreover, the current release also enhances the gaming experience for Beyond: Two Souls, Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers, and Age of Wonders: Planetfall games, and resolves the crashes seen in Sniper Elite V2 Remastered, World War Z, Rage 2, and They Are Billions.

In addition to that, Intel’s 7000 build adds support for SPV_EXT_physical_storage_buffer, VK_EXT_buffer_device, and VK_KHR_swapchain extensions, and improves HDR support for OLED panels and stability for Edge and Firefox browsers.

Besides these changes, the graphics driver removes bugs that caused crashes in SpecViewPerf13, Apex Legends, and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, minor graphics anomalies seen in 3ds Max 2019, Creo 4/Creo 5, and NX 11/NX 12, or other problems as highlighted in the Release Notes below.

In terms of compatibility, the downloadable archive is suitable only for the 64-bit architecture of Microsoft’s Windows 10 operating system. Do not try installing this update on other OSes even if it might seem to work at first, as this can lead to various malfunctions.

Therefore, if you want to install build 7000, make sure this release supports your system configuration, save and run the available setup executable, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete upgrade.

Moreover, once finished, perform a system reboot to allow all changes to take effect properly. If this task isn’t requested automatically, it would be a good idea to carry it out manually.

That said, download Intel Graphics Driver 26.20.100.7000, apply it on your system, and check back with us as often as possible to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
