The firmware adds autofocus performance improvements

Fujifilm has made available a new firmware package targeted at one of its digital cameras, namely version 2.00 compatible with the GFX100, which adds new functions for video recording control from Gimbals and Drones (that support this function) via USB communications

This new update will allow users to start/stop video recording, specify exposure settings for video (shutter speed, aperture value, ISO sensitivity, and exposure compensation), and make manual focus adjustments.

Besides these changes, the 2.00 firmware also improves phase-detection AF even in low-light conditions at -5EV, face/eye detection accuracy and stability when shooting multiple people, and includes focus bracketing to the camera’s auto mode.

In addition to that, Fujifilm managed to implement new Film Simulation modes, enhance compatibility with ATOMOS NINJA V field monitor-recorder, and add other changes as highlighted in the Release Notes below.

If you want to make use of these changes, save the downloadable package, transfer it onto a formatted memory card, and insert the card into the camera. Now, make sure to use a fully charged battery, power on the GFX100 unit, and press the “DISP/BACK” button to display the current firmware version

Now, select “Ok,” confirm the item as “Body,” agree with the next dialogs regarding the upgrade process, and, once finished, remove the SD card used in this process. Also, check the device’s current firmware version to ensure that the upgrade has been successful.

That said, download Fujifilm GFX100 Camera Firmware 2.00, carefully apply it on your device, and enjoy these new changes. Also, check back with us as often as possible to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
