GoPro has made available the 01.20 firmware version compatible with its newly-released HERO5 Black and Session action cameras, which enables Auto Upload to GoPro Plus and also adds key performance and connectivity improvements.

In addition to that, the present update enables support for Pro 3.5mm Mic Adapter from GoPro, improves camera and smartphone connections, and includes language support for Remo (Waterproof Voice Activated Remote).

When it comes to the HERO5 Black alone, this device receives improved touch display accuracy, media playback, and navigation, and gets a new audio filter when capturing video with Karma Grip.

Moreover, its appropriate firmware also enables front screen navigation with camera buttons, as well as the use of Exposure Control with Protune, and gives owners the ability to import RAW photo and Protune audio files through Quik for desktop.

As for the HERO5 Session unit, GoPro only manages to include photo improvements and usability enhancements, and it might also add some small fixes.

With this in mind, if you want to upgrade your device, save and unzip the appropriate archive for your model, transfer the “UPDATE” folder onto a memory card, and use it to apply the new firmware to your action camera.

That said, download GoPro HERO5 Camera Firmware 01.20, follow all instructions displayed on-screen, format the microSD card once completed, and enjoy these new changes. Also, check back with us constantly to stay “updated one minute ago.”
