AMD has announced the availability of a new version for the Radeon Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition graphics driver, namely the 21.9.1 (21.30.17.01), which adds support for Deathloop and Call of Duty Vanguard Open Beta titles, as well as for Smart Access Memory on Radeon RX 5000 Series cards.

In addition to that, AMD also implements support for VK_KHR_zero_initialize_workgroup_memory, VK_KHR_shader_integer_dot_product, VK_EXT_shader_atomic_float2, and VK_EXT_load_store_op_none Vulkan extensions.

Beside these changes, the current release corrects visual artifacts seen in PAYDAY 2 on some GPUs such as Radeon RX 6800 XT, and fixes driver timeouts or black screens experienced while playing Assassin’s Creed Odyssey on Radeon RX 480 Graphics cards.

As for compatibility, besides a supported GPU model (check the Release Notes below), AMD’s release can be applied only on configurations running under Windows 10 64-bit. Therefore, save and run the downloadable package, and wait for it to extract all required files for this installation.

Afterward, follow all instructions displayed on the screen, and once completed, make sure to perform a system reboot to allow all changes to take effect properly. If not requested automatically, it would be a good idea to carry it out manually to avoid any unwanted problems.

With this in mind, download AMD Radeon Adrenalin Edition Graphics Driver 21.9.1, apply it on your device and enjoy the changes brought by this release. Also, check back with us as often as possible to stay informed in case a newer version is available for download.
