AMD has announced the availability of a new version of its Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition Graphics driver, namely the 22.5.1 (21.50.21.11) package, which adds support for the producer’s latest RX 6650 XT, RX 6750 XT, and RX 6950 XT GPU models.

In terms of changes, the current update only fixes a bug that lead to the absence of the windows transparency aero effect for some Windows 10 users but promises to add at a later date AMD Software Capture and Stream features, as well as Overlay support for Clone mode and Eyefinity display configurations.

Moreover, users might encounter performance drops while playing Fortnite with certain settings, display flickering, system hangs when using Super Resolution displays, and a few other issues as highlighted in the Release Notes below.

In terms of compatibility, besides a supported GPU, take into account that your configuration must be running a 64-bit variant of Microsoft’s Windows 10 or 11 operating system. Do not try installing the package on other platforms as this might lead to various malfunctions.

Therefore, remove any previous version present on your computer, save and run the package on your system, wait for all files required to be made available, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete upgrade.

With this in mind, if you consider applying this release, download AMD Radeon Adrenalin Edition Graphics Driver 22.5.1, install it, and perform a reboot once finished. Also, check back with us to stay “updated one minute ago.”
