The update fixes issues with Nioh, WWE2K20, and more

AMD has announced the availability of a new version of its Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition Graphics driver, namely the 20.7.2 (20.20.01.09) package, which improves performance by up to 8% when using the high preset on the Radeon RX 5700 XT card.

Specifically speaking, the current release achieves up to 5% or 8% performance gain when playing F1 2020 or Death Stranding titles on this card, respectively, as well as adds support for Hyper Scape Open Beta.

In addition to that, version 20.7.2 makes sure Radeon RX 5000 GPUs do no cause corruptions or a system hangs when launching VR applications using the Oculus Rift headset, improves the Bug Report Tool stability, and enhances compatibility between Netflix video content and Microsoft Edge browser.

However, AMD’s update might still experience a few problems with the Radeon RX 5000, RX 5700, Ryzen 7 3000, Ryzen 4000, and Ryzen 3000 series products, as well as with YouTube playback, Enhanced Sync, Performance Metrics Overlay, and other features just like described in the Release Notes below.

In terms of compatibility, besides a supported GPU, take into account that your configuration must be running a 64-bit variant of Microsoft’s Windows 7 or 10 operating systems. There are two files available, one for each platform.

Therefore, remove any previous version present on your computer, save and run the appropriate package for your system, wait for all files required to be made available, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete upgrade.

With this in mind, if you consider applying this release, download AMD Radeon Adrenalin Edition Graphics Driver 20.7.2, install it and perform a reboot once finished. Also, check back with us to stay “updated one minute ago.”
