AMD has announced the availability of a new version of its Radeon Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition Graphics driver, namely the 21.2.3 (20.45.35.03) package, which implements support for DIRT 5 Energy Content Pack and resolves certain issues.

Specifically speaking, this release makes sure HDMI Audio Devices are installed correctly on Radeon RX 400 / RX 500 series graphics products, and removes the possibility of a system crash or hang when hot-plugging HDMI TV displays in multi-monitor system configurations.

In addition to that, AMD improves stability for Substance Painter (when using Radeon RX 6000 GPUs) and HP Reverb G2 Virtual Reality headsets (when connected to Radeon RX 6900 GPUs), and promises Radeon Software won’t fail to gather the latest available versions.

Regarding compatibility, there are two downloadable files suitable for both desktop and notebook configurations running under one of Microsoft’s Windows 7 and 10 OSes (only 64-bit architectures), as well as a Minimal Setup Utility targeted at the same platforms.

Therefore, remove any previous version present on your computer, save and run the appropriate package for your system, wait for all files required to be made available, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete upgrade.

With this in mind, if you consider applying this release, download AMD Radeon Adrenalin Edition Graphics Driver 21.2.3, install it and perform a reboot once finished. Also, check back with us to stay “updated one minute ago.”
