AMD has announced the availability of a new version of its Radeon Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition Graphics driver, namely the 19.12.2 (19.50.02) package, which implements support for the new Detroit: Become Human title and improves performance by up to 12% in select titles.

In addition to that, the current release also implements new features such as Radeon Boost (currently working on Overwatch, Borderlands 3, Shadow and Rise of the Tomb Raider, GTA V, Destiny 2, Call of Duty: WWII, and PUBG with FPS improvements of up to 38%) and Integer Display Scaling (upscales games with pixel art without losing the original look or sharpness).

Moreover, the developer manages to include DirectML Media Filters, add support for DirectX9 on pre-Radeon RX 5000 series GPU’s, resolve the hangs seen in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, redesign the Radeon Software UI, improve Radeon Image Sharpening function and AMD Link, as well as several other fixes as highlighted in the Release Notes below.

However, the 19.12.2 build might still encounter issues with Performance Overlay, Radeon FreeSync, Integer Scaling, Battlefield V, Performing Upscale, AMD Link, and other problems also described below.

Regarding compatibility, there are two downloadable files suitable for both desktop and notebook configurations running under one of Microsoft’s Windows 7 and 10 OSes (only 64-bit architectures), as well as a Minimal Setup Utility targeted at the same platforms.

Therefore, remove any previous version present on your computer, save and run the appropriate package for your system, wait for all files required to be made available, and follow all instructions displayed on the screen for a complete upgrade.

With this in mind, if you consider applying this release, download AMD Radeon Adrenalin 2020 Edition Graphics Driver 19.12.2, install it and perform a reboot once finished. Also, check back with us to stay “updated one minute ago.”
