TRENDnet has just launched driver version 1.01 for the TEW-726EC N600 wireless dual-band PCIe adapter. It is, in fact, the initial release driver for this product.

As it has no changes, there is some relevant data worth mentioning. First of all, there is the OS compatibility.

This release will install under Windows XP, Vista, 7, or 8 on both 32- and 64-bit architectures. However, the driver versions will differ between 9.2.0419 (for XP and Vista) and 10.0.0.227 (for Windows 7 and 8).

If you're not familiar with this device yet, it is a simple solution for a fast wireless connection for desktop computers. Stated in its features list is that it will seamlessly stream HD videos over the less congested 5 GHz band.

The adapter comes with two 2 dBi antennas which should give you a range of up to 100 meters indoor (330 feet) and 300 meters outdoor (980 feet). This data is purely theoretical, therefore the range will be affected by interface, network traffic, or building materials.
