ASRock has recently launched two new BIOSes for its C2750D4I and C2550D4I motherboards. Version 1.40 (C2550D4I) and 1.80 (C2750D4I) have the same changelog that mentions improvements for the “CSM” policy and system boot up time, support for DDR3 16GB, and an added function to customize the fan speed.

The Intel SATA initialize code gets improved with these updates, and new functions, such as “Restore BMC Mac from backup” and “ECC support,” have been added.

To update, download the specified update archive for your motherboard model and extract it to an accessible location. The three versions available make it easy for everyone to be able to update safely.

For Windows users, the easiest method is to download the designed BIOS updater and simply double-click it. There will be a few steps to follow, but the setup wizard will guide you through the process.

If you're using other OSes, the Instant Flash updater will most certainly make the update simple. All you need to do is extract the content of the archive to a flash drive and then boot to BIOS. From there, under the “Smart” tab, you will find the “Instant Flash” utility. Select it and then point out which update file you wish to install.

The new release will be installed shortly and the system will reboot.

Get the latest BIOSes from ASRock, install the one for your product, and stay “updated one minute ago.”
