I went to some forums around here and I learned that some people who experienced the same problem managed to fix it by installing a patch for XP available for download on Softpedia.com.
This is the latest patch released for windows, so I guess this is the one you need. http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/System-Tweak/AutoPatcher-XP.shtml

Bad start. Downloaded, unzipped and clicked install. At about 90%, a box came up with ERROR. 0001.
