Note:

- If the display driver fails to load, and reports a Code 39 error after installation, use the following steps to disable Driver Signature Enforcement and install the display driver

For Dual Boot Systems:

- Boot system
- Press F8 at the Boot Options Menu
- Choose Disable Driver Signature Enforcement in the Advanced Boot Options menu
- Press Enter For Single Boot Systems
- After the system BIOS screen, press F8
- Choose Disable Driver Signature Enforcement in the Advanced Boot Options menu
- Press Enter

Known Issues:

- This section provides information on known issues that may be experienced under the Windows 7 operating system with the latest release of the Catalyst Windows 7 Preview Driver Package. These include the following:
- Open GL is not supported under Windows 7 - 64 bit editions.
- AMD devices based on the RV730 GPU are not supported in this release of the Windows 7 Driver Package.
- This display driver should not be installed under Windows Vista 32/64 operating systems. WARNING: The INF install method has not been disabled for Windows Vista and the operating system will attempt to install the driver.
- Playback of some protected content over component video will be blocked by Macrovision copy protection.
- Playing some full screen OpenGL and Direct 3D games may cause the wrong display resolution.

Note:

- This version of the Catalyst Windows 7 driver is NOT Microsoft signed for Windows 7 32/64 operating systems
- Disabling driver enforcement will need to be done on every subsequent boot of the operating system

More Details:

- Desktop Windows Manager will become disabled in high resolution and multi display extended modes.
- On some systems, a restarts can intermittently occur when hot plugging the display.
- With some digital monitors hot plugging the monitor may not enable the display.
- When booting into Windows 7, some systems may become unstable with certain display configurations.
- Catalyst Control Center Displays Manager Page has been disabled for this release of the Windows 7 driver.
- Catalyst Control Center Basic - Easy Setup Wizard has been disabled for this release of the Windows 7 driver.
- Catalyst Control Center Image Scaling under the Digital Panel Page has been disabled for this release of the Windows 7 driver.
- Catalyst Control Center: Modifying the TV Format Selection under the TV Properties page will disable the TV output until the next reboot.
- Booting Windows 7 or changing resolutions with an Analog TV connected may cause the system to stop responding.
- Open GL may stop working on systems with three or more active displays.
- Running some benchmarks may cause the system display to blank.
- The AVIVO Video Transcoder functionality has been disabled for this release.
