Intel Desktop Boards Sigmatel STAC 92XX Audio Drivers 006_5682

This download installs the integrated audio driver for Intel Desktop Boards with Sigmatel 9220, 9221, 9221D, 9223, 9227 or 9274D and the Intel Audio Studio, a software application that allows you to configure your audio settings.

IMPORTANT: Audio drivers may fail to install in Windows* XP 64-Bit Edition. Symptoms may include error messages, such as "Error in installation" or "Unknown error". Microsoft's Update for Windows XP x64 Edition (KB901105) fixes this issue. After installing this update, the audio drivers for Windows XP 64-Bit Edition will successfully install.

Known Limitations and Issues
---------------------------------------
- Fairly loud pop coming out of S3 and Hibernate on certain skus.
- Microphone Balance in Windows Mixer is disabled.
- IDT/Sigmatel audio driver prevents WinXP auto timer standby when Windows Media Player is paused.
- Sonic Focus reads 5.1 while MS gui goes to 7.1 - This is working as designed.


It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
