The CX11254 is the first in a family of planned products. It uses the HD Audio bus (formerly know by the code name Azalia) to transmit data between an internal narrowband modem and notebook and desktop computers. It is shipping in sample quantities to customers now.

HD Audio is an end-to-end audio specification that defines the controller, link and board implementation of audio and modem hardware, both of which are required and operate on the same bus. It enables high-quality, home theater-like sound on multimedia/Media Center PCs.
