When installing the TWAIN and STI drivers on Windows Vista, STI driver installation instructions have been newly added to the driver package. (These instructions will be displayed automatically in step 2 of the following procedure.)
1.Install the TWAIN driver.2.After the TWAIN driver installation finishes, the STI driver installation instructions are displayed on screen. (Be sure to print the instructions so that you can refer to them during the installation.)3.Restart the PC.4.After connecting the scanner, the STI driver installation starts.5.Follow the instructions to install the STI driver.
It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
