Following new features are introduced in this release:

- Top N AP and Station information on NXC controller dashboard
- Rate limit support in Tunnel mode
- Scheduling SSID Configuration
- Scheduling Dynamic Channel Selection
- DCS enabled as factory default configuration
- Configuring DCS 5GHz channel selection by manual
- Support UNII-1 band all channels (Ch36, 40, 44, 48 and 52) for Taiwan Regulatory Domain
- Accounting interim update support for external RADIUS server
- Support SHA-2 SSL Certificates on NXC Controller and Standalone AP
- Support Microsoft Windows down-level logon name format (e.g. DOMAINUserName) in NXC AD Profile
- Support for Wireless Bridge configuration on NXC web console
- E-mail log appending system name and date time
- Support for non-standard time zone, e.g. Iran, India or Nepal.

The following is the firmware upgrade procedure:

1. If user did not backup the configuration file before firmware upgrade, please follow the procedures below:
- Use Browser to login into device as administrator.
- Click Maintenance > File Manager > Configuration File to open the Configuration File screen. Use the Configuration File screen to backup current configuration file.
- Find firmware in a file that (usually) uses the system model name with the .bin extension, for example, “421AAIG1.bin”.
- Click Maintenance > File Manager > Firmware Package to open the Firmware Package screen. Browser to the location of firmware package and then click Upload. The device  automatically reboots after a successful upload. 
- After several minutes, the system is successfully upgraded to newest version.

About Access Point Firmware:

If you update the Access Point (AP) firmware, your device can benefit from changes that fix multiple issues encountered by wireless clients, correct different user interface problems, add various functionalities, and include support for newly developed protocols.

Before performing this task, we recommend that you read and understand all the installation steps, because there are many AP models and manufacturers available. Each producer strives to make the procedure as simple as possible, but there are cases when it’s anything but that.

It is also advisable that you apply a new access point firmware in a steady power environment (UPS unit will satisfy this need), using an Ethernet cable rather than a wireless connection. The latter can be easily interrupted.
