Bug Fixes:

- Fix the problem that the switch does not reject wrong certificate files.
- Fix the problem that the switch reboots after enabling HTTPS by downloading certificate files generated from Netgear managed switch.
- Fix the problem of switch not able to obtain IP address from some DHCP server. This particular DHCP server requires the source address from the DHCP discovery packet to be 0.0.0.0.
- Fixed the problem that LAG interface cannot be selected as Source or Destination Port Members in Security > Traffic Control > MAC Filter > MAC Filer Configuration page.
- Fixed the problem that the switch does not try to obtain time from SNTP server anymore if the SNTP server is rebooted. When this happens, status of "Kiss of Death" is shown in the "Last Attempt Status" column of SNTP Server Status under System > Management > Time > SNTP Server Configuration page.
- Fixed the issue of network converging time is too slow with RSTP. When RSTP is enabled in a looped network, it still took more than 30 seconds to recover once the active forwarding link is disconnected.
- Fixed the problem that the switch still sends out RADIUS accounting packet even when port authentication fails.
- Fixed the problem that when 802.1x client sends user name with 39 characters to switch, but the switch will only send 31 characters to Radius server for authentication.
- Fixed the problem that DiffServ policy entry (QoS > DiffServ > Advanced > Policy Configuration) can't be deleted if the policy name contains "-".
- Fixed the problem that excessive VoIP traffics with Auto-VoIP enabled could cause the switch to reboot or making the WEB GUI inaccessible after some period of time.
- Fix the problem that the value of LAG interface counter in MIB object (ifHCInoctets) is cut off when it's over 4,294,967,296 (2^32).
- Fixed the issue of storm control behavior is incorrect. When broadcast storm control is enabled in a port, the threshold is 20% of port speed and action is shutting down, the port's link will down and up, back and forth once it detects 15% broadcast packets.
- Change default setting of Auto-VoIP (Switching > Auto-VoIP > Auto-VoIP) from enable to disable.

Known issues:

- Port PVID (Switching > VLAN > Advanced > Port PVID Configuration) does not automatically changed back to 1 after its associated VLAN is deleted. Workaround: Manually change the PVID back to 1.

About Switch Firmware:

Given the large variety of models and different methods for upgrading the switch, if you wish to apply this package, we recommend that you read and understand the installation steps before you install a new firmware, even if you are a power user.

Usually the update procedure isn't much of a hassle as manufacturers try to make it as simple as possible; however, there are cases that are exceptions to this rule. First off, go to the system information page of the switch to check that the currently installed version isn't either newer or matching this release.

Applying a new firmware can decrease the security vulnerabilities, enhance overall performance and compatibility, improve various power management functions, resolve different errors, and add support for newly developed technologies and protocols.

It is recommended that you perform this step in a steady power environment such as the one ensured by a UPS unit, and that you don't interrupt the upgrade in any way, because this might cause the switch to malfunction.

That being said, click the download button, get and apply the new version, and check back with our website constantly to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
