Western Digital My Book Office Edition External USB/FireWire Fat32 Formatting Utility 1.11
This utility formats your Western Digital external hard drive back to it's original FAT32 partition and format. Important: This utility will not reformat the partition on the NetCenter, WD My Book World Edition, or WD My Book World Edition II hard drive as FAT32. This utility is available for USB hard drives that are to be connected to a NetCenter, WD My Book World Edition, or WD My Book World Edition II. If you plan on connecting a USB hard drive to a NetCenter, WD My Book World Edition, or WD My Book World Edition II hard drive, the USB hard drive must be formatted as FAT32 for full read/write access. If your USB drive is formatted as NTFS, you will have read-only access while connected to a NetCenter, WD My Book World Edition, or WD My Book World Edition II. If your USB drive contains a MAC based format, you will not be able to use the drive connected to the NetCenter, WD My Book World Edition, or WD My Book World Edition II.
It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
