Koutech Systems, Inc., a subsidiary of Kouwell Electronic Corporation, was established in 1987 as a sales and marketing division of Kouwell Electronic Corporation to better serve and service products sold in the United States market. Founded 1978 in Taipei, Taiwan, Kouwell�s main focus is to distribute best-valued, quality interface cards. By 1984, we have expanded to become not only a major distributor of computer components but also a manufacturer of specialized high speed computer interface cards. In 1997, in an effort to bolster trade and enhance company resources, Kouwell Electronics made an unprecedented move by joining Via Technology�s illustrious line up of privately owned companies to spearhead the group�s I/O division. Backed by the world�s second biggest chip manufacturer, Kouwell had tremendously grown by leaps and bounds. Its multi-million dollar OEM deal with IBM Japan and CompUSA added to a record $1.6 billion sale for the Via Group for the fiscal year 2001. Today, we have over 125 employees in both Taiwan and the United States. Our engineers design, develop and manufacture customized board level products as well as supplying industry standard components to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) of personal computers. With one fifth of our engineering staff dedicated to research and development, we strive to provide our customers with tried and true products.
