This utility will install an updated version of the Intel Wireless LAN Driver Update software to provide support for the Windows 8 operating system.
Important:
If you have models VPCSA290S or VPCSB290S with the Intel Centrino Advance-N 6205 this update should be installed. If you have the Intel Centrino Wireless-N 1000 BGN driver this update does not apply.
To determine if your computer has the applicable hardware, check the Wireless LAN hardware ID in Device Manager.
It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
