This package updates the basic Gigabit Network Adapter EEPROM on ThinkCentre 8128, 8185, 8186, 8187, 8188, 8189, 8190, 8413, 8414, 8415, 8192, 8193, 8194, 8195, 8196, 8197, 8198, 8432, 8433 systems.
On a server-client setup if the machine type specified above is configured with a motherboard with a gigabit network adapter, a WOL packet sent from the server will fail to wake the client. In addition none of the RJ45 connector Link, Activity, and Speed indicator LEDs will toggle when the system is either fully on and running or turned off. This problem is geographically limited to Latin America counties only.

It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
