Intel PRO/10/100/1000/10GbE 64bit Driver a08 description

The architecture of the Intel PRO/1000 XT Server Adapter is designed to deliver both high
performance and PCI/PCI-X bus efficiency. With the latest bus standard, PCI-X, it is now possible
to scale bandwidths of up to 8Gbps. The Intel PRO/1000 XT Server Adapter helps maximize your
ability to use this extra bandwidth by automatically sensing the capabilities of the connected server
and running at the highest speed possible. It also helps increase bus performance by caching up to
64 packet descriptors in a single burst for increased efficiency. The Intel PRO/1000 XT Server Adapter
is also available in a low-profile version, with a shortened bracket for space-constrained system
designs. The low-profile version of the Intel PRO/1000 XT Server Adapter represents the industrys
first Gigabit Ethernet adapter to achieve compliance with the low-profile PCI specification.

It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.
Do not forget to check with our site as often as possible in order to stay updated on the latest drivers, software and games.

Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed a wrong driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
