The D-Link DCM-201 Cable Modem is a two-way DOCSIS� 1.1 CableLabs� Certified� Ethernet 10/100Mbps Cable Modem enabling you to enjoy the benefits of a high-speed broadband Internet connection. The DCM-201 connects to your computer�s Ethernet port or card via its Ethernet or USB port.

The DCM-201 provides intelligent IP allocation management which can be configured to work on a Static or DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) network. For security, the DCM-201 provides 56-bit DES (Data Encryption Standard) to encrypt data transaction for both upstream and downstream transmission.

The DCM-201 has a maximum downloading speed at 38Mbps (256 QAM) and a maximum uploading speed at 10Mbps (16 QAM). The DCM-201 uses the Reed-Solomon error correction method for data packet integrity. For SNMP remote management, the DCM-201 uses MIB II and MCNS MIB. It displays five easy-toread LED indicators to show the connection status of the DCM-201 cable modem.

Ethernet connection will work with most operating systems.

USB Connection will only work on Windows ME, 2000, and XP.
