The producer has changed its current USB driver, and redirected users to the latest Google USB Driver which is available for download as an optional SDK component. You need the driver only if you are developing on Windows and want to connect a Google Android-powered device to your development environment.

ADB for Android Developers (ARCHOS Internet Tablet)

Connect your ARCHOS device using the Andriod Debug Bridge (ADB):
- First make sure you are running the latest ARCHOS firmware. Connecting by this method will give you user shell privileges.
- Install the Archos ADB USB Driver for Windows.
Add Archos vendor ID (0x0e79) to adb_usb.ini in .android folder in your home directory:
Windows: echo 0x0e79 "%USERPROFILE%\.android\adb_usb.ini"

It is highly recommended to always use the most recent driver version available.

Try to set a system restore point before installing a device driver. This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
