Please read the following before creating a Firmware Update CD:

￭ Your PC must have a CD-R writer installed.

￭ The CD you create must be made using the ISO-9660 format.

￭ Using Windows XP's CD writing program is the easiest way to create the Firmware Update CD since ISO-9660 is the default format, so no special settings are necessary. However, other software (such as Nero) can be used, as long as you use the ISO-9660 format.

￭ If "U11" (DMR-E30/ DMR-HS2) or "UNSUPPORT" appears on the DVD recorder's display during the update process, this indicates that the firmware already installed in your unit is either the same version or a newer version than the one you are trying to install.
