About Media HUB Updates:

A firmware is an important set of instructions that tells your Media Hub how to operate, which formats to play and how the user interface must be structured. It also fixes various programing bugs and improves compatibility with content formats and other devices.

Updating your Media Hub firmware as often as possible is recommended, because the entertainment industry is constantly evolving and adding new encoding methods for digital content, and new video and audio formats. By keeping your device up to date, you can benefit from these improvements and have a better experience when using your device.

The most common way of upgrading your Media HUB is by downloading the appropriate firmware update for your device, and adding it to a USB stick which you plug into the Media HUB.

You must be careful when installing a new firmware. Make sure that you do not interfere with the device or unplug the USB memory stick, as this can corrupt the file system. Don't be alarmed if the device resets during the update: this is perfectly normal.

Before proceeding with the firmware download, we suggest you make sure you are installing the appropriate update for your model/revision and operating system. Check out our website for the latest firmware available to keep your device “Updated one minute ago.”
