The new release ReadyCLOUD and Speed Test functions

NETGEAR has rolled out a new firmware package suitable for its R6400 wireless router, namely version 1.0.0.24, which includes support for new regions (such as PAS, PES, UKS, and AUS), and gives everyone the ability to make use of the ReadyCLOUD function.

In addition to that, NETGEAR has also managed to add support for Speed Test client feature that is available at ADVANCED > Setup > QoS Setup > Upstream QoS page, and fixes a bug that prevented the GUI from requesting ReadySHARE Vault and desktop genie download when using Windows 10 Edge browser.

When it comes to installation, first of all, make sure your device is currently powered by NETGEAR’s 1.0.0.20 firmware version (or lower), and only afterwards save and unzip the downloadable package.

Now, save all settings that you have changed from the default values, as you might need to re-enter them manually, save and unzip the downloadable archive, and connect the router to your computer using an Ethernet cable (wireless technology might disconnect randomly).

Afterwards, simply log into your router’s administration page, go to ADVANCED tab > Administration > Firmware Upgrade, hit “Browse,” and use the newly extracted .chk file to initiate the installation.

With this in mind, download NETGEAR R6400 Firmware 1.0.0.24, upgrade your router, and constantly check our website in order to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
