Today, Nikon has rolled out a new firmware package developed for its 1 J5 digital camera model, namely version 1.01, which addresses an issue regarding deleting photos after taking multiple shots.

Specifically speaking, the present update removes a bug that didn’t allow removing any more files after multiple shots were deleted in succession from a single burst of pictures.

Considering the improvement mentioned above, if this issue has bothered you in the past and want to upgrade, first check your camera’s current firmware and make sure it’s not either newer or matching the present update, and only afterward save and run the downloadable archive.

Moreover, know that the producer has provided two files: one targeted at both 32- and 64-bit variants of Windows Vista, 7, 8.1, and 10 operating systems, and the other compatible with Mac OS X 10.6.8 and later platforms.

Now, transfer the “J5_0101.bin” file onto a memory card, insert it into the camera, turn the imaging unit on, and go to Setup Menu > Firmware Version, and follow the steps for applying the new file.

With this in mind, download Nikon 1 J5 Camera Firmware 1.01 and apply it to your imaging unit. Also, check our website as often as possible to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
