14 DAY TRIAL // TRENDnet has rolled out new firmware packages developed for its TEW-824DRU v1.1R, TEW-827DRU v1.0R, and TEW-828DRU v1.1R router models, namely versions 1.03.b02, 1.02.b02, and 1.0.7.0, respectively.
In terms of changes, the latter update corrects WiFi LED behavior and makes sure WiFi display (under Network Status page) notifies the status of the wireless radios properly, while the 1.03.b02 release adds wireless support for Canada and fixes certain Parental Control issues.
When it comes to the TEW-827DRU firmware, this version adds online firmware check/upgrade and automatic bandwidth detection/test functions, implements the Portuguese language to UI, and allows up to 64 entries in parental control mac filter.
Moreover, the 1.02.b02 release also resolves MAC filter conflict with WPS, changes schedule UI to a graphical form, makes sure parental control rules can be saved, and fixes FTP USB function problems and certain security vulnerabilities.
As for installation, first, save and unzip the appropriate package for your device model, log into the router’s configuration page, go to Advanced > Setup > Firmware > Browse (or Choose File), select the newly-extracted .bin file, click the Apply button to start the upgrade process, and wait patiently.
