The release allows users to create custom friend lists

A few moments ago, Sony announced the availability of its new Nobunaga 5.00 firmware version suitable for PlayStation 4 gaming consoles, which displays Notifications on the quick menu and adds Czech, Indonesian, Hungarian, Romanian, Vietnamese, Greek, and Thai as system languages.

In addition to that, users will now see spectator comments on the VR headset screen when broadcasting PlayStation VR gameplay, as well as a preview when receiving or sending messages containing a URL.

Moreover, Sony allows owners to create custom friend lists, add up to six users as family members and easily configure parental controls from PC or phone, as well as follow a person even if the account isn’t verified.

As this wasn’t enough, the newly-released firmware will also display the following features on the quick menu, allow you to configure notifications behavior and color, and add several other fixes and improvements as highlighted in the Release Notes below.

Now, if you want to enhance your console, save the downloadable .PUP file, create a “PS4/UPDATE” path onto a FAT32-formatted USB stick, and save the firmware there. Once this step is completed, insert the stick into your PlayStation 4 system while it’s turned off.

Afterward, press and hold Power for at least 7 seconds to allow it to enter safe mode, navigate to Update System Software, and the console will guide you through the installation.

Last but not least, Sony has also provided a reinstallation package that allows owners to apply a fresh 5.00 system software on their PS4 devices. The upgrade steps are the same but take into account that this process will erase all saved data, configuration, and other files stored on the console.

That said, download Sony PlayStation 4 Firmware 5.00 Nobunaga, apply it, and check our website as often as possible to stay “updated one minute ago.”
