Today, Sony has announced the availability of its new 3.51 firmware update developed for the PlayStation Vita and PlayStation TV products, which only includes a few stability improvements during use of some features.

Since the producer doesn’t highlight any important changes for this release, it would be a good idea to apply this new firmware and find out what the changes really are.

Therefore, if you intend to upgrade your portable console to this version, first of all save the downloadable .PUP file, initialize a compatible Vita memory card, and transfer the firmware file to it. Now, turn off the PS Vita, connect the newly-prepared card, and power on your console.

Once on, Sony’s gaming unit will automatically guide you through the installation, thus make sure to properly follow all instructions displayed for a successful update.

As for PlayStation TV systems, you can either use the Vita card prepared before and the same steps or you can create a “PSVITA/UPDATE” path on a USB drive and download the .PUP file there.

Once the USB is ready, turn off your PS TV, press and hold the power button for at least 7 seconds in order to enter safe mode, connect a controller, go to Update System Software > Update from USB Storage Device, and connect the stick.

With this in mind, download Sony PlayStation Vita / PlayStation TV Firmware 3.52, apply it on your gaming devices, and constantly check our website in order to stay up to speed with the latest releases.
