Along with the big release of Sony PS4 Firmware 3.50, the producer has also announced the availability of a new firmware update targeted at its PlayStation Vita and PlayStation TV devices, namely version 3.60.

In terms of changes, the present release only promises to implement various performance improvements and possibly some system stability enhancements. However, you must apply it and discover the changes for yourself.

Therefore, in order to upgrade to this version, download the .PUP file and save it on a formatted Vita card, power off your console, and insert the card in the appropriate slot. Afterwards, turn the device on and then carefully follow on-screen instructions, as the console will automatically guide you through the installation.

As for PS TV systems, use or prepare the same PS Vita card as described above, and perform the same steps. If this method isn’t desired for whatever reason, you can always create a “PSVITA/UPDATE” path on a USB drive and download the .PUP file there.

Once the USB is prepared, make sure your PS TV is off, press and hold the power button for about 7 seconds (to enter safe mode), connect a controller, go to Update System Software > Update from USB Storage Device, and connect the stick.

With this in mind, download Sony PlayStation Vita / PlayStation TV Firmware 3.60, apply it on your devices, and constantly check our website to be aware when a newer version is available.
