14 DAY TRIAL // Today, Sony has announced the availability of a new firmware package developed for its PlayStation (PS3) systems, namely version 4.80, which brings the usual stability improvements during use of certain features.
If you intend to apply this update, first of all, create a “PS3/UPDATE” path onto a formatted portable storage unit, save the downloadable .PUP file into that directory, and connect it to your PS3 console.
Afterwards, simply go to Settings > System Update > Update via Storage Media, let your device search and recognize the new file, and wait patiently as the new firmware is automatically being applied to your console.
