The new release improves stability of the camera’s operation

Today, SIGMA has announced the availability of a new firmware package targeted at its latest sd Quattro camera model, namely version 1.01, which promises to improve the unit’s overall stability and performance, as well as fix a few issues.

Specifically speaking, the present update manages to enhance the camera’s operation stability, remove the bugs that caused the unit to occasionally freeze while shooting, and fix compatibility issues with SIGMA Capture Pro 1.2 when using certain camera settings.

Therefore, if you intend to upgrade to this version, first of all, make sure your camera isn’t already running this or newer firmware, format a memory card using the sd Quattro camera, and save the downloadable .bin file.

Now, transfer the “SDQ_V101.BIN” to to card’s root directory, insert it into the camera while it’s off, turn the power on, go to Menu > Set-up Menu > Firmware Update, and initiate the installation by selecting “Yes” at the “Start Firmware update ?” message.

Bear in mind that the camera’s body will automatically turn off and then reboot seconds after starting the upgrade. However, in case the unit doesn’t power on by itself, make sure to do it manually to resume the update.

Upon completion, the device will automatically shut down after displaying a proper message; at this point, simply remove the memory card and to go check the firmware version once more to ensure that the installation has been successful.

That said, download SIGMA sd Quattro Camera Firmware 1.01, take into account all the aspects mentioned above, and update your device. Also, check with our website constantly to stay “updated one minute ago.”
