Samsung has announced the availability of a new firmware package developed for its NX500 digital camera, namely version 1.10, which improves AutoFocus (AF) performance in low light, backlit, and spot light conditions, and includes several other enhancements.

Specifically speaking, this release adds Zone AF mode, increases AF size to 5 steps and the sensor Face Detection Area, and improves AF accuracy in corners (when using 16-50mm PZ lens) and in movie mode.

Moreover, version 1.10 implements Cinematic, Memories, Gorgeous night, and High Speed presets, simplifies EXIF data preview, adds Selfie as Flipped mode, and sets Continuous AF as default in Selfie Timer.

When it comes to recording, Samsung includes Pro mode in movie quality, increases bit rates for movie size and quality, adds a new MF Responsiveness mode, allows capturing individual 4K frames, and implements several other changes highlighted in the Release Notes below.

As for applying this firmware, save and unzip the downloadable file onto the root folder of an empty memory card, turn off your NX camera, and insert the SD card into the device.

Afterwards, go to Menu → Settings → Device Information → Firmware Update → Body Firmware, wait for the camera to recognize the new software, choose “Yes” at the “Body Upgrade?” message, and allow the device to apply the update.

That being said, download Samsung NX500 Firmware 1.10, apply it onto your imaging unit, and enjoy the changes this new release brings about. Also, don’t forget to check our website constantly to stay “updated one minute ago.”
