No more hassle towards solar panels, save electricity now

Solar panel adoption seems a growing trend these days, the reason why more and more people have their personal home energy delivered by the sun.

Since the number grows steadily by the year, Google has decided to improve that even more by offering data taken from Google Earth imagery and see how the sun affects their home, and if it's worth installing solar panels in special roof locations.

Actually, what Google Sunroof is doing right now is to basically compile all the data you need to install solar panels on your house. Without it, it would've been twice as hard to do it. You'd need to see how strong your roof's exposure to the sun is, how much electricity that exposure could help you save, and what companies in your areas would install solar panels on your roof.

All that hassle is now gone with Google's simple service. Project Sunroof basically puts all you need in one place, and with satellite imagery you'll know how much your roof gets and on what sides, so you can place your solar panels exactly where you need them.

Unfortunately, Project Sunroof is, of course, available to only a couple of select areas in the US: Boston, San-Francisco Bay Area and Fresno, with other areas to be later included in Google's project. If the new software is successful in the US, it's highly likely it'll expand across the world.

Another useful feature of the Project Sunroof is that it also offers help in finding companies that install solar panels, and what offers they have in order to get them at a great deal.
