Build 7807 is suitable for the same OSes as previous updates

Realtek has rolled out a new build of its HD Audio package, namely version 6.0.1.7807, which comes after a few days since the previous Realtek HD Audio Driver 6.0.1.7806 release, and includes small improvements for the same Windows platforms.

Specifically speaking, this package is compatible with both 32- and 64-bit variants of Microsoft’s Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10 operating systems. However, since other OSes might also seem valid at first, installing Realtek’s update on other OSes isn’t recommended and shouldn’t be performed.

Thus, if you intend to apply Realtek’s new 6.0.1.7807 driver, first save the downloadable package, extract it to an accessible location on your computer (such as on desktop), and locate the available setup file from within the created folder.

Afterwards, run “setup.exe,” follow all on-screen instructions for a complete and successful upgrade, and don’t forget to give the wizard permission to perform a system reboot. However, if this task isn’t requested automatically, it would be a good idea to carry it out manually.

That said, download Realtek HD Audio Driver 6.0.1.7807, apply it on your device, and check our website as often as possible in order to stay “updated one minute ago.” Also, don’t forget to restart the device to make sure that all changes take effect properly.

UPDATE 5/3: For users who want more, an even newer build has been spotted on Microsoft's Update Catalog, but it's a .cab file compatible only with Windows 10 OSes. In other words, you can now download Realtek HD Audio Driver 6.0.1.7808.
